Villa Lina was our first stop during beautiful journey through Venice. Never before on other trips to Italy we felt like at home, like then. Villa is located in Murano, an island in the Venetian Lagoon, known around the world for its historical craft of glassmaking. This family offers a unique mix of hospitality and history, where special attention is given to every guest. Murano is just 10 minutes away from Venice, But time in this place completely stopped….

It’s like you go to the other side of the mirror. You go to the heart of Italy – Venice… You see the beauty of history, magic of Grand Canal, Noise of tourists from all over the world, who like you are here because of love to Italy. And then, you get on a water tram and within 30 minutes you are in a completely different place. The same history, the same canals, the same magic but No tourists! Only you & your mind. Of course not exactly, but everything here lives in symbiosis. Here you feel real joy and peace!

Murano is a series of islands linked by bridges in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy. It lies about 1.5 kilometres north of Venice and measures about 1.5 km (0.9 mi) across with a population of just over 5,000.  It is famous for it’s glass making. It was once an independent comune, but is now a frazione of the comune of Venice.  Island was initially settled by the Roma and from the sixth century by people from Altinum and Oderzo. At first, the island prospered as a fishing port and through its production of salt. It was also a centre for trade through the port it controlled on Sant’Erasmo. From the eleventh century, it began to decline as islanders moved to Dorsoduro. It had a Grand Council, like that of Venice, but from the thirteenth century, Murano was ultimately governed by a podestà from Venice. Unlike the other islands in the Lagoon, Murano minted its own coins.

As soon as we crossed the gate of one of the most beautiful homes we have seen, we knew that this place has a lot of heat & peace in it. Evi, the owner of Villa Lina and Gaia – Founded and Event manager of Venetian Way   are some of the best women I’ve ever meet.

The Villa Lina Bed & Breakfast was created by Evi and Carlo Nason in 2007, in order to preserve and maintain the sixteenth century palace where Carlo was born in 1935.

The terrace with its greenery and ancient atmosphere make Villa Lina intimate and invites you to indulge in a bit of relaxation any time of the day. Breakfast on a sunny morning or tea at five with the sunset on the Lagoon will make your day magical. The lush garden surrounding Villa Lina is full of the wonderful colors of nature that the changing seasons bring, and always sets the scene for reading a good book in a cozy atmosphere. The rooms at Villa Lina are classic and traditional. Cleanliness is one of the flagships of Villa Lina Bed & Breakfast: We challenge any other similar structure to achieve our standards of excellence. Bathrooms are in marble and wood, where shower accessories are provided. Everything is prepared with detail and good taste: fresh flowers and typical Zaetti and Essi Buranei cookies wait for you on the desk in your room.

The careful attention to detail and the simple elegance with which the owner welcomes guests is a breath of fresh air for all our guests at Villa Lina. Just read the comments of the guests who return on a regular basis to stay in the paradise of Villa Lina Venice. For information on where to go, and what to do in Venice, waterbus timetables, churches and museums, Evi is always available to help her guests, making them feel truly at home. At Villa Lina breakfast is rich and genuine with an intercontinental flair: sweet and salty, real Italian cappuccino, and fruit salad prepared fresh for you every morning . And of course, delicious traditional homemade cakes made by Evi. In the case of any food intolerances, allergies or requests for a particular diet, Villa Lina will adapt to your needs, please inform Evi in advance and she will prepare a tailored breakfast especially for you.

That night when we slept in the hotel, the Venetian Way had the first birthday. Exceptional, loud, continued till morning.

Gaia Nason founded Venetian Way, a company born in 2015 in order to create a beautiful venue, and host events in the garden of the family home where she was born and lived for 19 years. She studied and worked in Vienna for 13 years, then lived in Rome, Cagliari and Milan. Venice means going back to her roots, and her childhood home in Murano; Villa Lina a beautiful Bed and Breakfast that Gaia’s parents own and manage. Now it is appreciated by brides, tourists, children, businesses and lovers of Venice by attending and holding their events here.

They are a team of only women (for now!), ready to listen carefully and create special moments for you, in our garden on the Venetian lagoon.
All the events that they host are unique and come directly from our hearts; our team works with the upmost professionalism and expertise. Let us be your “memory- makers”, helping you reach your goals, and making your dreams come true. Check Venetian Way >>>
